Complete, but interestingly in volume 1 an illustration is opposite p. 262 instead of p. 266, which is what the illustration list shows, and an illustration is opposite p. 264 instead of p. 268, which is what the illustration list shows. Bookplate on verso of front free end paper. Corners bumped, spine ends and edges lightly worn. Tight and otherwise clean.
