Very good copy of "Memoirs Volume 1- Year of Decisions" in a very good dust jacket and a very good copy of "Memoirs Volume 2- Years of Trial and Hope 1946-1952" in a very good dust jacket by Harry S. Truman. Both are 1st edition / 1st printing. Volume 1 is signed twice, first on a card affixed to the front free end paper, second on a letter written to the owner by the president, affixed to the verso of the FFEP, mentioning the previously described card. Volume 2 is inscribed on the dedication page (to a different owner than Volume 1.) Volume 1 has a large store acknowledgement of purchase date on first day released for sale with owner's name on front paste down. Other Truman related pictures and articles on other free space before title page and after last page. Jacket of first volume has tape on both spine ends, some toning and light edge wear. Volume 1 also comes in a black clam shell slip case. Volume two has front hinge cracked but holding. Jacket of second volume has slight edge wear with a chip with loss at the bottom of the front cover. Both volumes are otherwise tight and clean. Enjoy this scarcely found complete true 1st edition (not the specially bound Kansas City edition) memoirs signed in both volumes by the president! Very good / Very good. Item #3892
